New Strategic Provider System
In April 2022, Amerigroup Community Care will replace its current internal provider demographic management system with a new Strategic Provider System (SPS).
Prior Authorization Updates for Medications Billed Under the Medical Benefit - Effective March 1, 2022
The included medication codes that are billed on medical claims from current or new Clinical Criteria documents will now require prior authorization. This is effective for dates of service on and after March, 1 2022.

Personal Home Helper provides in-home support for caregiver respite, home-based chores and activities of daily living (ADL) to address needs while recovering from injury or illness. It covers up to four hours per day for up to 62 days or 248 hours of care in a calendar year.
