Patient care overview

We have collected resources to support care for members in our health plans. In this section, you will find behavioral health services, maternal child services, health education resources and Condition Care program support.

Behavioral health

The Wellpoint behavioral health provider network includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, other mental health providers and employee assistance healthcare professionals. Our facility network includes hospital inpatient units, residential treatment centers, partial hospitalization programs, Local Mental Health Authorities (LMHAs), and intensive outpatient services and programs, which may include medication management, counseling and case management.

Maternal child services

We encourage all our moms-to-be to take part in our Taking Care of Baby and Me® program, a comprehensive, proactive case management and care coordination program for all expectant mothers and their newborns.

Health education resources

We advocate a community approach to health education and outreach activities and have a proven record of collaborating with community and faith-based organizations, advocacy groups, and other community resources.

Condition Care/Population Health

Our Condition Care/Population Health Program (CC/PHP) is based on a system of coordinated care management interventions and communications designed to assist physicians and other providers in managing members with chronic conditions.

Member rights and responsibilities

Our members have rights and responsibilities. Our Member Services representatives and Member Advocates Team members serve as their advocates.
